He moved again, this time to Canaan, taking his nephew Lot with him. He lived in Hebron. He bought the cave of Machpelah from its Hittite owner Ephron for 400 shekels of silver to bury his wife Sarah. Later, his sons Isaac and Ishmael together buried him,aged 175 years,in the cave beside Sarah. He is the father of Isaac by Sarah and Ishmael by Hagar, his concubine. He also has children by a second wife, Keturah, married after the death of Sarah. In Muslim history he is called Ibrahim.
