Birth: Jul. 24, 1813
Washington County
New York, USA
Death: Feb. 23, 1891
Fond du Lac County
Wisconsin, USA

Became a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Became a minister just prior to his marriage.

Married Nancy Batchelder in 1832 in New York. They moved to Ohio where he was involved in the ministry until 1842 when he removed to trenton, Washington County, Wisconsin.
A little later he moved back and forth serving both the Trenton Freewill Church and one in Scott, Scheboygen County, Wisconsin.

Grieved by the loss of his son, David (Co. D 12th Wisconsin Infantry) a prisoner in Andersonville, he decided that a change was in order, so he moved to Fond du Lac County.

Did continue to preach and gave his last sermon in the Boltonville Freewille Baptist Church in the fall of 1890.

Died at the home of his daughter in Lake Mills.
