John C. Laing, 311 South Seventh Street, died this morning (March 3, 1951) at the Olean General Hospital.
Mr. Laing, a retired Socony Vacuum Oil Company employe, was born in Hickory Township, Mercer County, Pa., March 6, 1869. He had been a resident of Olean sixty years.
He was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eva Berry Laing; four daughters, Mrs. Roland Gore, Mrs. Dorothy Gould, Mrs. Kenneth Grossman, all of Olean, and Mrs. Ansel Patterson, Farmers Valley, Pa.; one son, William A. Laing, Andover; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Schoonover, Olean and Mrs. Thomas O'Meara, Bradford, Pa.; one brother, Alex Laing, Olean; seventeen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Protestant Cemetery, Allegany.
