Son of Jonathan Titus Conklin & Elizabeth Sammis; husband of Rachel Decker [1833-1909]; Ira was born at Huntington, Suffolk County, Long Island, N. Y.; as a young man, he moved to Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, were he was found on the 1850 Census; he was living in Wayne County, Indiana, on the 1860 Census; settled at Norwalk, Huron County, Ohio, where he was found on the 1870, 1880, 1900, & 1910 Census; he went to lived w/ a daughter in Kansas; found at Oswego, Labette County, Kansas, on the 1920 Census; returned to Ohio and died at the Old Soldiers Home, Sandusky County, Ohio
