died when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV during combat operations in Rutbah, Iraq.
He was serving with the 46th Engineer Bn., Warrior
Brigade out of Fort Polk, La.
He was a 2001 graduate of Gulf High School, and enlisted in the National Guard and was in training when the Sept. 11 attacks occurred. He switched to the Army in 2003 , and re-enlisted for another four years 3 weeks prior to his death. He wanted to make the Army his career. His wife, Rebecca is pregnant, and he was looking forward to the birth of his daughter. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Rowe of New Port Richey; his unborn daughter, Nevaeh E. Rowe; his parents, David E. and Marcy L. Rowe of New Port Richey; three sisters, Megan E. Rowe of New Port Richey, and Kellie Hess and Danielle Sumner-Rowe, both of Plantation, Fla.; father-in-law, Richard Guilford of Louisa, Va.; mother-in-law, Marjorie Guilford of New Port Richey; grandparents-in-law, Jim and Carolyn Martin of New Port Richey.
