Sergeant aboard U.S. Army Air Corps F-7A Liberator #42-64056 (a photo reconnaissance conversion of a B-24). Perished when the bomber, bound for Hawaii, crashed near Suisun, California, 10 miles after departing Suisun-Fairfield Army Airfield. Seven other crew were killed, and two parachuted to safety.
