Mrs. Landwehr Dies Sunday
Death of Mrs. Catherine Landwehr, Northwest of Ottoville, Occurs at St. Rita's Hospital — Ten Children Survive — Services at Ottoville Wednesday Morning
Mrs. Catherine Landwehr, of northwest of Ottoville, died at St. Rita's hospital in Lima at 7:30 o'clock Sunday evening. Intermittently for the past ten weeks, she had been in a serious condition. Her death was attributed to complications.
Catherine Ricker was born at Glandorf on October 31, 1870, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ricker. She was married to Henry Landwehr on November 4, 1890. All her married, life was spent in the Ottoville community. When her death occurred, Mrs. Landwehr was seventy-three years of age. She was a member of Immaculate Conception church in Ottoville. The death of her husband occurred on December 10, 1927.
The ten surviving children are: Mrs. Theodore Friemoth, northwest of Ottoville; Charles, Cloverdale; Mrs. William Turnwald, northwest of Ottoville; William, north of Ottoville; Mrs. Ernest Rupley, Hudson, Michigan; Mrs. August Koenig, Leipsic; Henry, at home; Mrs. Carl Koenig, Adrian, Michigan; Mrs. Wilma Siefker, East Second street; and John, north of Ottoville. Forty-four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. There arc two brothers, Ben Ricker, Fort Jennings, and Herman Ricker, Leipsic, and a half-sister, Mrs. Ed. Lory, Lima.
Services will be held at Immaculate Conception church in Ottoville at 9:00 a. m. Wednesday. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Ottoville.
The remains were removed from the Lauer mortuary at Ottoville to the Landwehr residence Monday.
