Elenora, 94, Fort Jennings, died at 12:20 a.m., at Van Crest Health Care Center.
She was a daughter to Charles M. and Helena (Bensman) Ricker.
Surviving are a sister, Sister Edna Ricker, OSF, Fort Jennings; a sister-in-law, Irma Ricker, Fort Jennings; and a stepniece and -nephew and several cousins.
Deceased are two brothers, Philip and James; a sister, Sr. Alma Ricker, OSF; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Ricker.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings, and its Altar Rosary Society. She walked to school at Rushmore and after attending two years of high school in Fort Jennings, she worked for her aunts when they needed help. She was a quiet and reserved person who was a perfect homemaker and loved to garden and play cards. She also loved animals, especially her dog, Spot. She had a great devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and for the education of priests at St. Meinrad Seminary who would come to her home to visit.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings, with Fr. Joseph Przybysz, officiating.
