Yesterday morning at his daughter's home, in that dignity which Death imparts, lay the body of a kindly dispositioned old gentleman of simple habits but many and enduring friendships, the late Albert Beach. His death, after an illness of some months, of cancer of the stomach, came as a release from suffering, early last Sabbath morning. His aged wife, daughters and other immediate relatives witnessed this peaceful close to a worthy life. Deceased was aged 73 years and had been almost a life-long resident of Kemptville. His reminiscences of the earlier history of the town were particularly interesting, for he was a man who dearly loved to think of by-gone days and old friendships. Consequently his friends were legion and the mourners were many when he went, although the late Albert Beach had never taken a prominent part in local, municipal affairs. His funeral, largely attended, took place yesterday morning, the service being conducted at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S B Seely, where he and his aged wife had made their home of late. The Rev. W E Reynolds, pastor of the Kemptville Methodist church of which deceased was a member, officiated at the service, being assited by the Rev. John Chisholm, BA, and the Rev. William Pyke, both of whom had been intimate friends of Mr Beach. Interment was made in the Union Cemetery. The late Albert Beach is survived by an aged widow, three daughters and one son, a son and a daughter being dead. The children living are: Mrs W H Barnard, Ottawa; Mrs W J Porter and Mrs S B Seely, Kemptville,; and Mr Alson Beach of Ocean Park, California. The late Mr. Lional Beach and Mrs. D. Hanna were also his children, but predeceased him by sixteen and six years respectively. To the bereaved friends is extended the sympathy of his home community where, setting a high value upon friendship, Albert Beach made many friends during his life
