Mrs. Joseph Lehmkuhle, Mother of William Lehmkuhle, of this City, Died Wednesday Morning – Had Been an Invalid For Past Fourteen Years.
Mrs. Joseph Lehmkuhle, mother of William Lehmkuhle, of East Second Street, died Wednesday morning, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Bensman, at Kalida. For the past fourteen years Mrs. Lehmkuhle had been an invalid and for the past few days her condition had been very serious.
Mrs. Lehmkuhle, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Giesken, was born in Glandorf, O., seventy-seven years ago. She lived for many years in Ottoville and was very well known in Delphos and Ottoville. Her husband died twelve years ago and since that time Mrs. Lehmkuhle had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Bensman.
Mrs. Lehmkuhle is survived by eight children, six daughters and two sons, fifty-nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was a lovable woman, a devoted wife and mother, and greatly respected by everyone. The funeral services will be held from the Kalida Catholic Church Friday morning at 9 o’clock, and burial in a cemetery at that place. It is probable that a number of local relatives will attend the funeral. Mrs. Lehmkuhle having a number of relatives in Delphos and vicinity.
