Archie Neel Anderson, Jr., son of the late Archie N. Anderson, Sr., and Mary Elmina (Smith) Anderson, was born on Jan. 9, 1932, in Wichita, Kansas. Archie passed away Sept. 5, 2013, in Licking, MO. He served his country in both the US Army and US Air Force and then retired from the armed forces after twenty-one years of dedicated service. He then worked for South Western Bell Telephone Company for 19 years, serving his local community.

Archie is survived by his wife, Brigitte; three children; as well as his sister; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

As ham radio operator, WB5NCK, he was an active member of the Ozarks Mountain Amateur Radio Club and the 7290 Traffic Net where he received several honors and awards for his outstanding performances and participation, including the Whitney Nugget Award in 2006.

Any and everyone who ever encountered Archie knew him as a friend and he will be sorely missed. He enjoyed listening and talking on his HAM radio and spending time on his computer. He was always willing to help his friends and was a loving father and family man.
