John Groze Bellamy was the second husband of Martha Saphrona Williams Shannon. Martha was the widow of Thomas Earl Shannon. Martha and John Groze Bellamy had several children including a daughter, Nealie Bellamy. Descendants were described as, "many living in Banks and Franklin Counties." Elizabeth "Betsy" Neal 9 July 1799-16 Feb. 1879 married John Williams on 18 Oct. 1831 in Franklin County, Georgia. Children: Mary Leona married James Henderson Glasure, Martha Saphrona married first William Fletcher Shannon married second John Groze Bellamy, Clementine Perlonia married first James Bellamy married second William Chatham, Rachael Calane married John Mayes. Lucy born 8 August 1809 married William Dailey. Ten children: youngest Martha Mahulda 1849-1933 married William Palmer Carson. "Betsy's" uncle and Martha Mahulda "Mattie's" brother was William B. Neal born 1795 died at age 80 and is buried in the Neal-Adams Cemetery at Ashland, Georgia.
