William R. Ensley, 77, formerly of London, Madison, Ohio, USA, died Sunday afternoon in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio, USA following an illness of six years.
Born in Springfield, Clark, Ohio, USA, 6 July 1885, he was the son of Calvin Cyrus, and Matilda Cynthia Payne Brandle Ensley. Prior to his illness six years ago, he was a resident of London, Ohio and had been employed by the Downard Cleaning Co. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of London, Ohio and was a veteran of World War 1.
His body was brought to the Littleton Funeral Home for services at 3 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Robert Ustick. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Evelyn Hackenger Ensley. He left his daughter's-Martha Jane Ensley Burba Burt, and Nancy Louise Ensley Graves, and several grandchildren to mourn his loss.
Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
