| Birth: | 1824 | | Death: | 1864 Giles County Virginia, USA |  Henry Alexander "Alex" Bostick was the oldest son of Moses and Abigail (Thomas) Bostick. He married Elizabeth Holmes on June 30, 1852. Alex was a Private in "Wise's Legion", Company A, 60th Virginia Infantry during the Civil War. The men of Company A were known as "The Monroe Sharpshooters". He died at Camp Narrows, Giles County, VA of disease after the Battle of Cloyd's Mountain. Elizabeth and Alex had five children: Alice Chandler, Sarah Hall, Margaret Bostick, John Eldridge Bostic and Alexander M. Bostic.
