Linda Gallagher, 65, of Sweet Springs, MO, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to family choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com
Born March 22, 1947 in Jasper, AR, she was the daughter of the late Rev. James Eldon Smith and Dovie Ruth Baucom Smith. On July 23, 1963 she married Robert L. Gallagher, who survives of the home. Linda graduated from high school in Sioux City, IA in 1965 and took several courses following high school. She had lived in the Sweet Springs area for several years, previously living in Marshall. Linda served in the nursing field for many years and was always a caregiver. For nearly 10 years, she was the church secretary at Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was an active member.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Robin Dixon and husband Bill of Fulton, Robert L. Gallagher, Jr. and wife Debbie of Sweet Springs, Sean Michael Gallagher and wife Debra of Wentzville, Bill Gallagher of the home, Clarissa Renken and husband Andy of Sweet Springs, and Joshua Thompson of the home; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, James Eldon Smith, Jr. of Blue Springs; one sister, Ramona Neece of Sedalia; along with several nieces and nephews.
