At the time of her death, she was a member of the New Horizons United Methodist Church of Anderson, but worshipped at the University Baptist Church in Bloomington. She was active in the Anderson chapters of several Masonic lodges and auxiliaries including the White Shrine, Eastern Star and the Social Order of the Beauceant; she served as president and chaplain of the latter organization. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Samuel.
