James "Jim" William Crim, 69, of Manilla, died Monday, March 18, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Nov. 5, 1932, in Shelby County, he was the son of Floyd and Zella (Baker) Crim. He married Evelyn Ruth Gahimer on Oct. 14, 1951, and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Steve Crim of Manilla and Tim Crim of Shelbyville; two daughters, Debi Wahlman of Woodbridge, Calif., and Cindy Gladding of Greenwood; two brothers, Robert Crim of Manilla and Jack Crim of Rushville; one sister, Ireva Cousins of Sebring, Fla.; six grandchildren, Dena Ramsey, Kevin Crim, Christie Wahlman, Brian Crim, Nick Gladding and Melia Gladding; and three great-grandchildren, Kameron Crim, Jason Ramsey and Olivia McCauley.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Mr. Crim was a lifelong Shelby County resident. He graduated from Manilla High School in 1950 and from Lane Business College in Indianapolis.
He was owner and vice president of Floyd Crim & Sons Paving in Shelby County and also farmed.
He was a member of Morristown Christian Church.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Bros. Fred Hickman and Lou Stoups officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
