Mrs. Georgiana L. McClellan, widow of Col. George B. McClellan, former Mayor of New York, died yesterday at her home in Washington, D.C. She had lived in Washington since 1930 and had been an invalid for the last ten years.
Mrs. McClellan was a daughter of John Gerard Heckscher by his first wife, the former Cornelia Lawrence Whitney. Her father, who was prominent in New York society, served for two years in the Union Army under Gen. George B. McClellan, and the marriage of his daughter to the latter's son, took place in 1889.
Mayor McClellan, who served as the chief executive of New York City from 1903 to 1909, died in 1940.
There are no immediate survivors.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Washington at St. John's Episcopal Church.
