Jimmy Gengler was just 6 days into his senior year of high school when he was struck and killed by a hit and run driver on Sept 5th as he rode home from work on his bike. The driver was arrested on Dec 23,2002 and formally charged three days later. Moose Balian was to go on trial October 27,2003 but Balian entered a plea of "no contest".
He was sentenced December 1, 2003 to three years in prison and 3 years extended supervision.
Jimmy worked 2 after school jobs, one at Shopko, and one at Burger King. He is the son of Susan Liermann, and brother of Andy.
We miss him so much.
This is inscribed on his tombstone:
Warm summer sun shine kindly here;
Warm southern wind blow softly here;
Green sod above lie light,lie light-
Good night, dear heart, good night,good night.
