Raymond C. Christian II, of Mount Gilead, North Carolina, died Veterans Parkway after a motorcycle accident. He was 24.

Raymond was born the only Child to Raymond and Shelia Christian on May 11th, 1983 at Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy NC.
He gave his life to Christ at the early age of 15. He was baptized and joined St. Stephen's UCOG and was an active member.
Raymond attended and graduated from West Montgomery High School in Montgomery County. Soon after graduating he moved to Charleston South Carolina to attend College. He enrolled at Johnson & Wales School of Culinary Arts.
Raymond graduated with earning a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Culinay Arts.
He worked at the Mills House Hotel in Charlston, SC as Head Chef. Soon after he joined the United States Army to enhance his career. He went into the Army as PFC and quickly moved up in rank to Specialist. He went on to attend the Quarter Master School at Ft. Lee, Virginia. His MOS was Food Service Specialist. Raymond was stationed at Hunter Army Air Base in Savannah Ga. In 2006 he went to Iraq to fight for his country and spent 1 year there. After returning to the States he participated in various Food Compititions. He won several Bronze and Gold Metals in which he made the Army Proud. Raymond was proud to be a Soldier and dearly loved his Army Buddies and they loved him just as much.
Raymond was getting ready to deploy back to Iraq when he was killed on that tragic evening of July 20th, 2007. He was rear ended by another vehicle that keep going and did not stop. Raymond was thrown over the handlebars of his Motorcycle. He was Decapatated by landing on the Guard rail and left to die on the side of the road. Raymond bled to death.

When I come to the end of the road
and the sun has set me free,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little but not too long,

Remember the love we once shared,
