James Monroe's parents were Andrew Jackson HOLLEMAN and Arminta C. (Duncan) HOLLEMAN.
J. M. married Myrtle McIntire Nov. 3, 1915; she was the daughter of Charles Albert McIntire and Mary Elizabeth Boyer.

J.M. and Myrtle had six children.
He registered for the WW I Draft June 5, 1917, with phy. description as "tall, slender, blue eyes and light brown hair, and no physical disabiliteis." He was mar. and had one child.
He later became a Free Will Baptist minister.
