David Carson was a school teacher and Baptist Minister. He was licensed to preach at Middle River Church in Franklin Co. in 1838. His home was on Crockett's Creek, near Ashland. David and Cynthia had seven sons and two daughters. The seven sons and two sons-in-law all served the Confederacy in the "War Between the States". David and Cynthia are buried on "Carson Farm Road" in Franklin County, Georgia. David was the second child of John E. Carson and Margaret Hunter of North Carolina. She died in Cobb County, Georgia in 1846.
