Mr. Conn passed away at the age of 95, and resided in Madison Heights. He had previously lived in Southfield and Climate Falls, Oregon. During WWII he was a pilot of a B-25 while in the U.S. Air Force. As an architect he had studied with Frank Lloyd Wright in Wisconsin, and also with Ero Sarrinen at Cranbrook Academy of Art. While there he and others designed the St. Louis Arch. He designed many notable buildings in southeastern Michigan. Quite a few of them appeared in national magazines.

Jim was the s/o William Ernest Conn born in England and Cora Francis Goolsby born in Bloomington Springs TN, he had 2 sisters Vera and Florence.Cora was a sister to my dad Theodore R. Goolsby 1904-1991.
