| Birth: | Jan. 25, 1969 | | Death: | Aug. 29, 2012 |  Russian Volleyball Coach. Known for being the coach of the russian team women's volleyball during the recent Olympic Games in London. He has played for CSKA Khabarovsk, Oilma of Yaroslav and Octane Novokuibyshevsk. Ovchinnikov has trained male and female clubs. He won the bronze medal in the 2009 Cup of Russia, the silver medal at the Silver CEV Cup (2010-2011), the Russian Premier League 2010-2011, the Silver Cup of Russia with Dynamo Krasnodar and Silver Cup of Russia 2011-2012 with the Dynamo Mosckva. In 2011 he was appointed coach of the national women's volleyball of Russia, and successfully guided the team through qualification for the 2012 Olympics.
