Daughter of musicians, she began playing piano at 5 years and at 12 years was heard by Claudio Abbado. Mihaela has studied eight years at Vienna's Conservatory and has won numerous awards during her carrier including, the International Prize of Senigallia and the Clara Haskil Prize. She has given concerts in Europe, Canada and in the United States with the most prestigious orchestras, including the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Berlin Radio Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. She moved to Vienna to participate in the prestigious festival, collaborating with musicians such as Angela Gheorghiu, Vadim Repin and Lars Voght. In 2011, she was invited to a recital with Belcea Quartet at the Romanian Athenaeum, where received a resounding success performing some famous classics as the Quartettsatz of Franz Schubert, the Quintet in B-Flat major by Robert Schumann and the Quartet in F major by Maurice Ravel.
