Margaret G. Mertens of 1559 West 12th, Eugene, passed away May 13, 1984, at the age of 77. She was born March 6, 1907, in Allegheny, Pennsylvania. She had been a resident of this vicinity since 1943. She is survived by 2 daughters: Christine Richman and Virginia R. McIntyre, both of Eugene; 2 sisters: Kathryn Plevans of Hardin, Texas, and Frieda Taylor of Three Rivers, Texas; 2 brothers: William and Charles Maderer, both Premont, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 17, 1984, at 2 p.m. in Poole-Larsen Chapel with Pastor Brad Lane of the Faith Christian Fellowship Church officiating.
