Elizabeth DePover, 65, of Moline, formerly of Chicago Heights, Ill., and
Vallejo, Calif., died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005, at Trinity Medical Center, West
Campus, Rock Island.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Wheelan Funeral Home,
Rock Island. Visitation will be 9:30-10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be
made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Shelter, Milan.
Elizabeth was born May 12, 1940, in Moline, the daughter of John and Evelyn
DeSmet DePover. She married Michael Ogieglo in 1963 in Chicago Heights, where
she raised her family.
Elizabeth worked as a credit manager for Matson Navigation in San Francisco,
Calif., retiring after many years of service. While living in California,
Elizabeth, (A.K.A.) "Breezy the Clown" enjoyed doing charity work and
entertaining senior citizens. Elizabeth was an active member at the Vallejo
Senior Center in California.
Survivors include her mother Evelyn DePover, Rock Island; a daughter, Julie
Goss, San Jose, Calif.; sons and their spouses, Michael and Kimberly Ogieglo,
Benicia, Calif., and Curt and Donna Ogieglo, Phoenix, Ariz.; granddaughters,
Krista Goss, Ashley and Annalee Ogieglo; a sister and spouse, Sharon and Arthur
Twitty, Moline; an aunt, Delores Grell, Dixon, Iowa; and an uncle and spouse,
Emil and Madge DeSmet, Rock Island.
