Mr. William Blead (Dub) Jones, 58 years old, of Route 2, Brandenburg, Kentucky, died Saturday, August 6, 1977, at his residence.
He was born in Meade County, Kentucky, August 20, 1918, a son of the late Master Elmer (Mastin Elmore) Jones and Lillie Mae Wardrip Jones.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Carmine J. (Patsy) Scaletti, Louisville, Kentucky; four sisters, Mrs. Mayme Pleasant of Brandenburg, Mrs. Joe (Anna Mae) Carter of Big Springs, Kentucky, Mrs. Chester (Beatrice) McCauley of Jackson, Tennessee and Mrs. DeWayne (Mary Catherine) Trent of Vine Grove, Kentucky; three brothers, Mr. Raymond, Mr. George Elmer and Mr. Robert Lawrence Jones all of Brandenburg; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 9th, from Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Carl Matters officiating. Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery, directed by Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.
