Roger Beaufrand

Death: Mar. 14, 2007

Olympic Athlete. Born in Garenne-Colombes France, he was the world's oldest Olympic champion. In men's cycling he won the gold medal in the 1000m sprint at the 1928 Summer Games in Amsterdam. The same year he was also runner-up in the World Championships. He went on to win two national championship titles and over 100 Grand Prix wins. He was also a IOC member and awarded France's Legion of Honor in 1968. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
