In Greenlake my mother lived on Ashworth, only about a mile away from the home my father grew up in. I know she went to John Marshall, Jr. High and then Lincoln High School. She worked for a while for a pharmacist in Ballard and then for General Insurance which is now Safeco. She and my father were married on July 2, 1940 in Seattle at St. Benedictís. (She had converted to Catholicism a couple of years prior) and the reception was held at her parents home on Ashworth where a huge weeping willow grew in the front yard. They honeymooned at Harrison Hot Springs in Canada. She had five children. She raised them well.
In the early 60s, Louise moved o Menlo Park, CA with her two youngest children. In the early seventies she met a very nice gentlemen, Richard Congdon, of Old Lyme, Connecticut on a cruise. They married and she lived back there until she suffered a stroke and had a short term memory loss. We brought her to Seattle and she lived at the Foss House (a health care facility) with her mother Minnie until she died there June 28, 1981 of heart failure. We buried her near her father Harry at Evergreen, the site you visited, next to a small tree. Her mother Minnie died three years later.
