Richard Allen Waldron, age 53, of Coopersville, Michigan passed away on January 1st, 2009. He is preceded in death by his father, Jay Waldron of Grand Rapids, MI and by his sister, Judy Waldron of Owasso, OK. He is survived by his mother, Celestine (Jo) Waldron of Coral, MI; brother, Kirby (Rozena) Waldron of Collinsville, OK; by nieces Jennifer Waldron of Grand Rapids, MI; Kimberly Waldron of Moore, OK and Jillian (Tyler) Casey of Owasso, OK; nephew, Benjamin Waldron of Weatherford, OK and 1 great niece & 1 great nephew along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends.
Richard served 6 years in the U.S. Navy after graduating from Coopersville High School. Richard in recent years sought an education in Computer Web Design. Richard used his computer skills to help the Coopersville Observer with designing & establishing their website.
He was an avid fisherman in every sense from actual fishing to relaying fish stories. Richard enjoyed a practical joke, whether he was the instigator or the recipient.
Following cremation a Memorial Service was held on January 17th, 2009 at the Ottawa Center Chapel in Coopersville, MI by the Rev. Robert Porterfield.
Side notes: Richard had a great love of animals-especially dogs & birds. Off & on for several years he worked as a truck driver where he was able to travel across the country - this was something that he loved traveling and meeting people.
His Brother-Kirby Waldron is currently in possession of his ashes.
