He came to Massachusetts in 1648. About 1653, in Massachusetts, he married Mary Bowen.
Children: Ephraim Child, Benjamin Child III, Joshua Child, Mary Child Chamberlain, an infant son, Elizabeth Child, Margaret Child, John Child, Mehitable Child Perrin, John Child, and Joseph Child. The first three sons were all baptized at Roxbury,MA on Feb 27,1658/9.
NOTE: Although no stone has been found, he was almost certainly buried in the Eliot Burying Ground in Roxbury.
