Bob Fitzpatrick, 86, of Shawnee, formerly of Mission Hills, KS. passed away November 25, 2006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 28, at the Cathedral of St. Peter, KCK, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Private, family burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Sisters, Servants of Mary, 800 N. 18th, KCK 66102.
Dr. Fitzpatrick was born in Mason City, Iowa, and graduated from Mason City High School. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa. Bob was a WWII and Korean War veteran. He practiced general medicine in Kansas City, Kansas for 40 years. Bob was President of the Wyandotte County Medical Assoc. and was a former member of the Milburn Country Club.
Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeane, his son, Joe (aka Matt), daughters, Martha Phillips and Bridget Brill and seven grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sweet Life at Rosehill, Odyssey HospiceServices and Carestaff.

His parents were Matthew Joseph Fitzpatrick, M.D., (born 20 Sep 1885 in Elkrader,Iowa - 20 May 1928 in Mason City, Iowa) & Inez Beryl Drumheller (18 Apr 1889 in Michigan to 03 Feb 1920 in Mason City). His sister, Mary Suzanne was killed in a car-train accident on 15 Sep 1935. She was born 18 Jul 1916. Dr. Fitzpatrick married Rilla Thompson (17 Dec 1886 - 23 May 1967) on 07 Jun 1922.
