He was 'Lost at Sea/lost in action' during WW II somewhere in the Pacific theatre. There is a cenotaph in the Manila American cemetery in the Philippines which bears his name. It also says he died on the 24th of July, 1945 and was awarded the Purple Heart. Findagrave contributor Susan Krall said Caskey was related to her kin John Calvin Kelley # 40822451
