He left behind his wife Caroline and 2 sons.
According to an article in the Washington Post on August 6, 1936, he was the inspecting engineer of the Panama Canal.
In Sept. of 1905, he became associated with the Panama Railroad Company and then in 1907 he came to Washington, D.C.
In 1908 he was with the Isthmian Canal Commission in D.C. and by 1914 they had become the Panama Canal Commission.
He was a member of the ASME, AIEE, SAE, AME, and the D.C. Cosmos Club.
