Mr. Hoffman, a son of John and May Smith Hoffman, was born at Putneyville on Decemer 17, 1865. He was married to Miss Elizabeth Orr on December 13, 1891. Mrs. Hoffman died some years ago.
He leaves four sons and two daughters: John Hoffman, Lockhaven; Firman Hoffman, of St. Charles; George and Charles Hoffman, at home; Mrs. Bertha Alcorn, Williamsport and Mrs. Frank Bussard, Apollo. He also leaves eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mr. Hoffman was a member of the Reformed Church of Eddyville. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at one-thirty at the Mateer Funeral Home, New Bethlehem, with the Rev. R C Strine of Dayton, officiating.
Burial was made in the Eddyville Reformed Cemetery.
