-- James Michael Hogan, Sr. "Mike" Mr. Hogan, 64, of Mint Hill, NC, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, April the 15th, 2010. Visitation will be held at Lowe Funeral Home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews , NC 28105, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m., Friday, the 16th of April. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home, Saturday, April the 17th. Rev. Forrest Jones of Concord First Assembly, will be officiating. Graveside will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Crown Memorial Park, 9620 Rodney Street, Pineville, NC, 28134. Mike was born November 3, 1945, in China Grove, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Adam and Essie H. Hogan, of Landis, NC, as well as his youngest sister, Jennifer Kay Hogan, of Landis, NC. Mike was a loving husband, father, brother and Paw Paw. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Libby Hogan; two sons, Michael Hogan , Jr. and wife, Paula, of Charlotte; Chris Hogan and wife, Jennifer, of Charlotte; and one daughter, Lori Lowe and husband, Corey, of Concord; four grandchildren, Kodie, Grayson, Andrew, and Joel; 3 brothers, Denny Hogan of Salisbury, Kenneth (Pinky) Hogan of Surfside Beach , Ralph Hogan of Goose Creek; and one sister, Sue Hogan Kurfees of Salisbury. Mike cofounded the family custom cabinet business, The Hogan Co, in 1992. The family business will continue under the service and direction of cofounder Michael, his son-in-law Corey, and son Chris. Active pallbearers will be Michael Hogan, Chris Hogan, Kodie Lowe, Denny Hogan, Tony Hogan, and Steven Barnes. Grayson Lowe, Scott Barnes will be honorary pallbearers. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Duke University Hospital, and Hospice at Charlotte, for all of the love, support and care of Mike. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Memorials may be made to Concord First Assembly, 150 Warren C. Coleman Blvd., Concord, NC 28027. Lowe Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Hogan.
