Mrs. Mary Brown Dies; Funeral to be held Saturday
Mrs. Mary "Lizzie" Brown, 73, 1604 Rossville Avenue, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday at Clinton County Hospital after a two-month illness.
She had been a resident of this county her entire life, having been born in Boyleston, December 23, 1879, daughter of Lewis and Sarah (Michael) Schimmel. She was married November 21, 1897 to Alonzo D. Brown, who died April 6, 1947. She was a member of the Woodside Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Alvie D. and Losa Cleo, both of Frankfort; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Thatcher and Mrs. James Weaver; four brothrs, Manson, William, Herman, and Ralph Schimmel, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Two sons, Clossie D. and Denzel, proceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Woodside Christian Church with burial in Whiteman cemetery. Friends may call at the Goodwin Funeral Home after 7 o'clock tonight. The remains will lie in state at the church from 9 to 10 a.m.
