Alonzo Denver Brown, 76, 1604 Rossville Avenue, died at the family home at 1 a.m. Sunday after a prolonged illness.
Until his health failed, Mr. Brown was employed at the Morris Bros. greenhouse.
He was born at Defiance, Ohio, October 23, 1870. His parents were Washington D., and Rachel (Sheets) Brown. On November 21, 1897, he was married to Mary Elizabeth Schimmel, who survives.
He also leaves two sons, Alvin D., of Frankfort, and Losey C., of Indianapolis; two sisters, Lyda Corey of Lebanon and Goldie Colcord of Niles, Mich.; a brother Charles Brown of Kirklin; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A son Clossie Brown, was killed in World War II.
Mr. Brown was a member of the Woodside Christian Church.
Friends may call at the family home, 1604 Rossville Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 1:30 at the Woodside Christian Church, Rev. Harry Beard officiating.
Interment will be at the Whiteman cemetery.
