Alvin J. "Red" Brittain, 400 S. Columbia Street, died at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday of bronchial pneumonia, which he had suffered for three days.
He was born at Michigantown on May 6, 1898, the son of John and Miranda (Roush) Brittain. On May 9, 1927, he was united in marriage with Elsie Middleton, who survives.
Besides the widow, he is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline, at home; and six brothers, Nolan, chalmer, John, Hezikiah, Carl, and Cecil Brittain.
Burial will be in Whiteman Cemetery.
