Dr Richard B Studebaker born 2/22/1923

Husband of the late Sue S (Toops)
Studebaker who was the true love of his life,
they were married 55 years and resided
in Centerville OH in their "Quaker Hill"
historic home. Dr Studebaker is survived by
two sons, Park A. (Susan) and Dana B. (Mary)
and several loving grandchildren.
A long time resident of Centerville Ohio,
an Optometrist in Oakwood he opened the
Oakwood Eye Clinic and was a friend to
so many in the community. He was an avid
antique collector and an authority on early
American antiques.
He was the organizer of a Father-Son annual
canoe trip with his friends and their sons
and made many lasting memories with all
who attended. The group he named
"Canoe Freaks Inc" became an institution
with the families who went and his attention
to detail in planning made the trips
unforgettable. He was an amateur astrologist
and would point the stars out in the summer
sky and name the constellations. His canoe
was deemed the "Flagship" and he led
the group every Father's Day weekend
for decades. Dr Studebaker had a truly
great sense of humor, was a wonderful
storyteller, enjoyed a good joke
and a martini, he will be deeply missed.
