Graveside services for Ronald W. Whitten, 66, of Harker Heights, will be at 1 p.m. today at Killeen Memorial Park with Bishop Marcus Gengler officiating.

Mr. Whitten died Jan. 10, 2011, in a Temple hospital.

He was born Dec. 10, 1944, in Tampa, Fla.

Ronnie had been injured and paralyzed in a swimming accident when he was 19 years old.

He lived with his father Ronald Joiner Whitten and step mother Henrietta F Flentge.

Ronnie loved doing research in his family history and spent many hours on the computer searching for his family ties with other relatives and cousins he had met doing his research. He was a very caring and passionate man and he will be missed by all whom he had close ties.

Ronnie really enjoyed adding memorials to Findagrave.
