Veteran of the American Revolution. Captain of a company that marched to Cambridge soon after the Concord fight, and he was at the Battle of Bunker Hill. He was Captain of a company of New Hampshire troops that marched to the relief of Fort Ticonderoga, and he served as a Colonel in a NH Militia Regiment.

Son of Banfield Capron Jr and Hannah Jenckes Capron.

He married Esther Freeman on Aug 21,1757 at Cumberland,RI. She was the daughter of Ralph Freeman and Sarah Capron Freeman.
