Innis J. MacRitchie, age 83, of Brookhurst Rd., Sylvania, died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at Lake Park Comfort Care Unit. He was a retired metallurgical engineer for Universal Joint Division of the Dana Corporation. He began his career with Dana in 1947, and retired in 1982, as manager of Regional Drive Shaft Centers and director of Quality Control for the Spicer Universal Joint Division.
Mr. MacRitchie was a native of Canada and served in the Canadian Navy in World War II. He attended the University of New Brunswick and the University of Toledo, and was a registered Professional Engineer. He was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, the Toledo Compass Club, Toledo-Fort Industry Masonic Lodge #144 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Zenobia Shrine, and was a life member of the American Society for Metals. He was also the Committee Chairman of Boy Scout Troup #70.
Innis is survived by his wife, Catherine; son George (Mary) MacRitchie and their children; son John (Josephine) MacRitchie, and their children and great-grandchildren; son Murray (Bette) MacRitchie; daughter, Ann (Jeff) Martin, and their daughter; son, Gordon (Teresa) MacRitchie, and their children; brother Alex MacRitchie, and brother and sister-in-law, George and Jean MacDonald.
Friends may visit at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, on Friday, July 25, 2003, from 3-9 p.m., where a Masonic Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. The funeral ceremony will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m., Reverend Michelle J. Stecker, Ph.D. officiating. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Those wishing to give memorials are asked to consider Christ Presbyterian Church or the Shrine Children's Hospitals.
