Jaden was very smart and "tested off the charts" when he was verbally tested. When pressed with a pen and paper, he became frustrated and discouraged. He was like a sponge – he wanted to learn new things and loved different languages and cultures. Jaden was kind and caring. He always wanted to make people laugh. His unique sense of humor only made him more interesting! He could be a big goof! Jaden and his brother Elija were BEST FRIENDS. Jaden played bass guitar and Elija played electric guitar. Jaden possessed a whimsical side that entertained people with his silly songs and drawings. Jaden loved to eat tacos, steak on the grill, and recently acquired a taste for Sushi. He was looking forward to volunteering at the Animal Welfare Society in Kennebunk. He adopted a puppy a year ago and named her Enu, which is dog in Japanese. Jaden also enjoyed his cat Sammy. Jaden's life could be summed up with his middle name, Journey. He traveled a different path than most. His heart and intellect was not often seen or appreciated. His mannerisms were just perfect for his world and life. Jaden, you are free and we love you and will miss you dearly. Our lives have been enriched by you being YOU.

A 15 year old Maine boy with Asperger's Syndrome who had been missing for nine days. Jaden was last seen on the afternoon of May 8, when he told his family that he was leaving to go for a walk in the woods. He was later seen by a neighbor on the shore of the lake. Nine days later, his body was found near the lake shore in Limerick by a husband and wife in their pontoon boat. It has been concluded that Jaden had hit his head and accidently drowned.
