Chester McChurch, 92, passed away on November 30, 2010, at the Veterans Center in Claremore, OK.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 12 at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Des Moines Church of Christ, Des Moines, Iowa.
Chester was born in Washington, Iowa, November 21, 1918, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Letha LeGore December 21, 1946.
He is survived by his children, George (Janice) Widmer of Washington, IA; Susan (Adolph) Spencer of McCallsburg, IA; Joseph (Rebecca) McChurch of Altoona, IA; William (Mary) McChurch of Des Moines, IA; Jill (Jim) Hobbs of Coweta, OK; Jack (Cindy) McChurch of Spring, TX; ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, his wife, four infant children, his brothers and sister.
Interment will be private at Resthaven Cemetary, West Des Moines.
