Seymour Ralph Appleby, devoted husband of Estelle Appleby for 60 years, passed away on March 5, 2013, at age 88. Mr. Appleby's loving family includes daughter Judith; sons Daniel and Joseph; four grandchildren; and his sister Elaine Nagel.
A resident of Danville, California, he was a retired attorney, former owner of Appleby Rug Service, and former member of Hayward Planning Commission. Mr. Appleby earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and an Air Medal during World War II in the war against Japan as a bombardier on a B-29. His hobbies were cooking, camping, Civil War history, and furniture making.
