Betty Bethel, 80, of Nederland, Texas, died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at We Care Nursing Facility in Groves, Texas.
Born September 1, 1930 in De Queen, Arkansas, to Anna Mae McClinton and Calvin Richard Simpson, she was a resident of the Mid-county area since 1968.
Betty enjoyed making dolls, deer hunting, and listening to music. She will always be remembered as someone who was beautiful, had a sweet personality, loved to have fun, and was a fabulous mother and grandmother.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Chester O'Neal Bethel of Nederland; daughters, Donna Fontaine, Deborah Foreman and her husband, Roger, and Deanna Morgan and her husband, Kenneth, all of Nederland; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three great step grandchildren; and brother, Terry Simpson.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Burial: Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
