Margaret Mary (Brodie) Hawkes of Framingham died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, in the MetroWest Medical Center, Natick Campus. She was 92. Mrs. Hawkes was born in Broughty Ferry [Dundee], Scotland, a daughter of George E. and Mary (Strachan) Brodie. She came to the United States as a child and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School. A resident of Natick for more than 50 years, she moved to Framingham seven years ago. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed classical music and dressing up fashionably. Wife of the late John Barry Hawkes, she leaves her children, J. Barry Hawkes Jr. of Watertown, Geoffrey G.E. Hawkes of West Yarmouth, J. William Hawkes of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Diane Hawkes of Visalia, Calif.; her grandchildren, Rose Margaret Hawkes and Barbara Anne Poirier of Bedford, John Barry Hawkes III of Waltham, Glenmichael Russo of Watertown, Thomas Marcantonio and Lisa Coker of Georgia, Valerie McCue of Wrentham, Katherine Brodie Hawkes and William Hartnett Hawkes of California; and great-grandchildren, Peter Jude, Stephanie Anne and Heather Anne Poirier of Bedford, Alice Rose, Brodie Anne and Caroline Marie Hawkes of Waltham, Isobel and Sam McCue of Wrentham and Julie Marcantonio.She was great-grandmother of the late Anne Elise Coker, and sister of the late George Brodie and Williamina Brodie. Her funeral was held Thursday, Jan. 25, in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown.Burial was in Mount Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury....
