Roberta A. "Bunnie" (nee Nest) Slipko, 78, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at her residence, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born on August 18, 1937 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Loretta (Schulz) Nest. On June 3, 1961, Roberta married Alfred D. Slipko in Prince of Peace Church.
Mrs. Slipko was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. Roberta was a member of St. Mary of the Cataract Church. Bunnie enjoyed ceramics and was an avid reader and excellent chef.
In addition to her beloved husband of over 54 years, Mrs. Slipko is survived by one son, Douglas T. (Donna) Slipko of North Carolina and one granddaughter, Brittany (Mickey) Traub of Huston, TX. Roberta had five siblings, Clara Chiodo, Albie Bailey, Robert Nest, John Nest and Shirley Brierly. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Mary of the Cataract Church with Rev. Jacek Mazur serving as celebrant. Entombment was held in the All Saints Mausoleum in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
